Town of Wheatland - Government Reopening



The Town of Wheatland staff will resume normal business hours within the building starting Monday, May 18th. The building will remain CLOSED to the public for the week of Monday, May 18th while we establish a routine to ensure the safety of our staff and residents. We will also be closed on Monday, May 25th to observe Memorial Day.


Starting Tuesday, May 26th, the Town Clerk’s Office, Building Department and Assessor will be available to customers by APPOINTMENT ONLY.



This method of serving the public will continue for at least two weeks while we closely monitor the Monroe County COVID-19 infection rate. There will be one-way traffic through the building with hand sanitizer stations at the entry and exit points. Customers must wear a mask while inside the building. Town Board meetings, Planning Board meetings, Assessment Review meeting and Public Hearings will continue virtually until there is a change in NYS policy. The court office is required to follow rules and schedules established by the NYS Office of Court Administration.
