The Wheatland local Town Government has recently approved establishment of a Town of Wheatland Community Hall of Fame. The Community Hall of Fame is intended to facilitate a community wide tradition of identifying, recognizing and celebrating citizens that have made significant, positive contributions to the Town of Wheatland community. The Community Hall of Fame is governed and supported by the Wheatland local Town Government through a "Salute to Excellence" Committee, working in conjunction with the greater Wheatland Community.

The "Salute to Excellence" Committee has opened a call for nominations regarding candidates for induction into the Community Hall of Fame in 2018. The nomination period for 2018 will remain open until 12-September 2018, the corresponding evaluation and selection process will be completed by the "Salute to Excellence Committee" by the end of October and newly selected inductees will be celebrated with the community before the end of December 2018. For prospective candidates to be considered for nomination, a nomination form must be completed in full for each nominated candidate. Forms should be filled out in their entirety to ensure the "Salute to Excellence" Committee has the opportunity to fully evaluate the candidate and submitted to the Wheatland Recreation Department.
