Message from Supervisor - Water Infrastructure Grant Awarded
I am incredibly proud to announce that the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) has awarded the Town of Wheatland a Water Infrastructure Act grant in the exact amount of $4,183,620. This multi-million-dollar state investment is dedicated entirely to the construction of Wheatland Water District No. 3, covering the vast majority of our approximate 40,400 linear feet of water main across Quaker, River, and Bowerman roads.
We are awaiting correspondence from the EFC as to requirements and next steps, as stated in this correspondence.
We plan to move forward with the U.S.D.A. Rural Development Grant application process next. More information will be shared as we proceed.
